Mrs. Pride is a bay filly by Essence of Dubai out of the multiple-winning My Name Be Mrs., by Cahill Road. She was foaled in Florida on January 11, 2006 and is a registered Florida-bred. She is from the second crop of Essence of Dubai (by Pulpit), who is best known for winning the UAE Derby (G-2), the UAE Two Thousand Guineas (G-3), the Super Derby (G-2), and the Norfolk Stakes (G-2). He also placed in the Pennsylvania Derby (G-3), the Jim Dandy (G-2) and the Best Pal Stakes (G-3). He earned just over two million dollars during his racing career. Her dam, My Name Be Mrs., was a hard-knocker type that won seven races. Mrs. Pride is her first foal. Mrs. Pride is closely related to Miss Noteworthy, a multiple stakes winner who has won eight of her fifteen starts. Miss Noteworthy's dam is a full sister to Mrs. Pride's dam. Both Miss Noteworthy and Mrs. Pride are the first foals of each of the full sisters. Mrs. Pride is nominated for the OBS Championship S. and the Sunshine Millions.
